SUMMARY

In this part VI, José Luis tells the origins and foundations of the group of undocumented migrants with disabilities. José Luis clearly verbalizes the claim: “We are foreigners here, but [we want] the government to be able to make an exception or have compassion or see the human face of these people.” The group of undocumented migrants with disabilities, according to José Luis, criticizes the hypocrisy of the US State, which demands compliance with human rights from other countries, when within the United States that is not fulfilled. José Luis also narrates his own experience as an undocumented migrant with disabilities, describing the bureaucracy of the asylum process. Finally, he reiterates the intention of the group of undocumented migrants with disabilities to continue raising their voices and raising awareness among the population.
