Dave Mendoza, a musician, left home at 17 and joined an American German couple in a motorhome traveling to Spain. In Jirola, southern Spain, he played music in restaurants and pubs. Later, he flew to South America with a trio of English Swiss musicians, eventually ending up in Chile and Viña Del Mar. There, he survived by busking in restaurants. Dave’s love for Argentina blossomed during a trip to Mendoza. He no longer needed to busk;
instead, he played live music and became an Argentinian citizen during the Falkland War. After living in Buenos Aires and exploring other parts of Argentina, he married a Uruguayan and moved to Europe. Eventually, he settled in Mexico, where he cherishes his unique journey and the unexpected twists that led him there.
