Daniel Marín, an 18-year-old Venezuelan, shares his journey of migrating to the United States in search of better economic opportunities to support his family. Despite moving to Colombia six years ago, the situation remained difficult, prompting his decision to leave on February 5th of this year. Daniel has traveled through six countries, including the challenging Darién jungle, where he faced harsh realities and dangers such as robbery, violence, and witnessing two murders. He describes the jungle as a perilous place with natural and human threats. Despite these hardships, Daniel’s determination to improve his circumstances and help his family remains strong.
