Erika migrated to Los Angeles at age 9 for health reasons. After experiencing abuse and deportation, she returned to Mexico and later helped others cross the border, despite consequences. Now a nurse in Baja California, she supports undocumented migrants with medical and emotional care, driven by compassion and personal experience.
