The silence and complicity of family members, along with the lack of government action, have led to generation after generation of women being abused and displaced. Yolanda Sinsun broke the silence to speak out about her story. Today, she is once again pursuing her plan to reach the United States, seeking to protect her daughter and granddaughter from the sexist violence perpetrated by a soldier.
