The Mexican migrant tells us in this second part how he ended up in a state prison, sentenced to 15 years to life in prison. The first five years were very difficult for him to adapt to this new life in prison, but he decides to make a positive change in his life and begins to study English among other subjects in prison. His life takes a very positive turn, as he begins to take classes and teach other inmates. Also, organize the other inmates to donate things outside of jail. He tells how this helped him in a positive and productive way and he managed to establish a good record of behavior, to the point that when he had to go to his parole hearing after fourteen years in prison. He was paroled before a panel of commissioners who were experts in the field of criminology and was declared that he was no longer a risk to the community.
