131. Injustice Behind Bars
“I lived through an experience that I wouldn’t wish on anyone else. It’s a total injustice the way they treat people, they treat them like criminals. I had the experience of ICE coming for me at work, they treated me like a criminal, handcuffed me. I felt very humiliated because it all happened in front of people from human resources… From 2009 to 2011 I was detained, fighting for nothing because no one could do anything. I’ve been in Mexico for seven years, seven years of struggle of returning to the US legally to be with my kids… But I’m still here, and I;ll keep fighting…”
