Vidalia Mitchel is a trans woman originally from El Salvador. She spent several months living in the migrant camp, installed in the border port of Mexico and the United States (El Chaparral), where she was waiting to accept her refugee application. She narrates the migratory process from her country of origin to Tijuana, how she was harassed by the Mara Salvatrucha gang, and the exclusion processes she experienced because she is an LGBTQ person. Vidalia is now meeting her family in the United States, awaiting her first immigration court date.
