Alejandro Martínez, a deported childhood arrival, lived more than 40 years in the US, then lost his permanent residency after a criminal conviction. He’s been making a living in Tijuana doing telemarketing from his home office. However, now in his 70s, and without access to his social security in the US, he’s hoping to obtain assistance.
