This is the story of Héctor, who migrated to San Francisco from Mexico, trying to fulfill his dream of enrolling in a music school. Only eight years later, he was accepted. Meanwhile, he worked in a mechanic shop and later as a chef’s assistant. Héctor recounts the difficulties that he went through in order to survive and study at the same time. The stigma of failure for those who return to Mexico after having migrated, contributed to his overcoming these challenges over more than a decade.
